Light as a Feather

I'm here to do more than reach a goal. I'm here to make a lifestyle change.

12 notes

Let me tell you why this isn’t something I strive for:
It’s a BIG lifestyle change. More than that, it’s a HUGE lifestyle COMMITMENT. If you want to look like that, you have to work out hard consistently. More than that, you have to eat right. You simply can’t afford mistakes. The scariest part, though, is that you have to eat quite a few calories to keep that muscle packed on. This kind of body doesn’t come from a 1200 calorie diet (I’d be surprised if it did).
And that’s where the issue comes in. Have you ever noticed guys or men that used to be really beefy and buff are actually quite fat 5 or 10 years down the line? Maybe not, but I’ve seen it plenty of times. Thing is, if you fall out of this exercise habit but don’t adjust your eating habits accordingly, all that muscle’s going to turn into fat. It has the potential to turn into a big, sloppy mess if you don’t transition out of this lifestyle the right way.
For those of you who have the strength, determination, and TIME to do this: More power to you. You’re amazing and I commend you. Like I’ve said before, though, weight loss and all of this business is different for everyone. This is NOT my path. So I’m not even going to bother.
All I’m saying is, don’t take on more than you can realistically handle.
